Beaches

Explore Thassos either by car or by boat. Visit famous beaches of the island such as Psili Ammos, Paradisos, Aliki, Chrysi Ammoudia and Marble Beach. In case you select the boat ride, don't forget to visit Giola to see up close this little wonder of nature. It can be accessed by car as well, but Giola's experience by sea is different! Other options for sunbathing and swimming are Arsanas (area of Archangelos Monastery), Atspas (Skala Marion) and Salonikios (Astris).

Restaurants and Cafe/Bars

Enjoy Greek cuisine in one of the many taverns and restaurants of the village. For the most traditional and lamb lovers, a walk to Theologos is enough to discover and enjoy, among other things, lamb on a spit.

You can also enjoy your coffee or your drink in one of the many coffee bars in the village. For the most "anxious" there is also the option of clubbing in both Limenaria and Limenas.

Picturesque destinations

Apart from the beaches of the island, Thassos is also offered for the lovers of nature and mountain tourism. Take a jeep tour to discover Ypsario and the "wild" beauty of mountainous Thassos, Lake Maries or explore the alleys of the traditional Theologos, Maries and Kazaviti. Of course, you should not miss the also picturesque Panagia located in the east of the island with the stunning view to Chrysi Ammoudia, although during the tour around the island it is difficult to miss it, as on its road network.

Do not miss the famous Monastery of Archangel Michael. It is the largest and most famous monastery of Thassos and is an important pilgrimage. It is built on the edge of a cliff, offering magnificent views to visitors.

Take a walk to the waterfall

Explore Kefalogourna, a unique natural landscape, on the outskirts of Theologos settlement, on its eastern side. At this point the waters of the spring of Agia Vasiliki and other springs meet and together they create two waterfalls that end in a natural pool. Wine Fest

The fest takes place every year with guests tasting local wines and spirits. ​

Thassian Wedding

The Thassian Wedding is held every summer in the alleys of the settlement of Theologos with the participation of hundreds of visitors. It is followed by a feast with food, drink and treats to the attendees.

Boat Trip

Boat trips (for a fee) that start from Limenaria and some of which go around Thassos, is another activity that the visitor can enjoy, as he can see the beauties of Thassos accessible only from the sea. Magnificent beaches and incomparable landscapes that will impress you. In this way you will find an easier approach to Giola and other beaches on the island.
